Become a Construction Volunteer
Habitat for Humanity welcomes everyone who supports our mission, has a willing heart, energy and enthusiasm onto our construction sites. You don’t need construction experience to volunteer; we provide the training, materials and tools. You must however be at least 16 years of age to work on a construction site.
As a Habitat for Humanity North Central Massachusetts construction volunteer, you’ll learn new skills or improve current ones, meet some terrific people and leave at the end of the day knowing that you’ve helped build a safe, decent and affordable home for a local family in need.
Schedule for Construction Work Days
Normal scheduled work days are Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, beginning at 8:30 AM and ending at approximately 4:00 PM.
Sign-Up for Individual Volunteers
Volunteers may sign up at any time using our Online Registration and Scheduling Calendar. If you are a first time user, you can learn more about the process by reading “Volunteer Schedule – How It works”.
Sign-Up for Group Volunteers
Civic/Church/Social Group volunteers who want to volunteer together can either sign up as individuals or select one person to contact our office to register their group. Read “Volunteer Schedule – How It works” to learn how to set this up.
Alternately, you may choose to complete a Group Volunteer Application and email the completed application. And we’ll start the process for you. Please fill out as completely as possible, especially your availability dates. Groups are scheduled on a first come-first served basis. While we make every effort to accommodate group volunteer requests, we do sometimes have to limit the size of the group due to the nature of the project or the work being done. We appreciate your understanding.
Sign-Up for Corporate Groups
We welcome corporate groups to join us for a day’s getaway or team retreat. Corporate donations help us sustain our build and repair projects.
